Favorite Band - I'm inspired by a wide array of modern and classic bands dating back to the 1920's. If someone threatened me with numchucks to reveal my favorite period then I would have to say all recorded and live material from 1970-1976. The incredible magic and risk taking of the sixties set the stage for this mind blowingly mature stretch of music, which peaked and concluded with "The Last Waltz," my favorite film of all time. And the early 70's drum sounds were like a warm lump maryland crab cake. hmm, hmm, hmm!

Favorite Person/People - Mark Twain, my family, relatives, friends, and my band mates.

Hidden Hobby - Listening to the XM station "Big Band and Hits of the 40's" at my parents home on Fishers Island. The scratchy AM sound of the songs make me feel like it's the middle of the 20th century.

Favorite Color - It seems to change every year, but if push comes to shove, i'd vote on heather blue because it reminds me of the 70's denim frenzy I will eternally adore.

Favorite Phrase - "The good news is..."

Favorite Food - Pizza, Pasta, Spicy Marinara, Raw Almonds, Local Whole Grain Bread, and Avocados.

Memorable Moment - Seeing the Last Waltz for the first time and realizing that I wanted to take drums seriously and follow in the steps of joyful, meat and potato drummers like Levon Helm, Jim Keltner, James Gadson, Buddy Rich, Mick Fleetwood, Animal, Bonham, Watts, Ringo, Buddy Miles, and Keith Moon.

Claim To Fame: I'm legitimately related to Aaron Burr and maybe Art Blakey too.

Thing I Hate the Most - Touching stall handles from the inside, folks who bring bad energy, and the act of War.

Favorite Word - word*

*Word is a phrase imported to my boarding school via Andrew Worthington and soon after religiously distributed to the mainstream by Cameron Van Der Veer. "Word" can mean various things in today's society, but to my brotherhood of friends it's a sure way to find out if your best pals are telling the truth. For instance, if I walk into a room full of close friends and say "Hey Dan, I just heard a strange rumor that your girlfriend was seen french kissing Joey at the beach party Saturday night." If Dan, says, "No way!!! That's bull!" Due to the powerful pact of word, Dan can quickly find out if his friend is lying by saying, "Word?" If the receiver of word doesn't say or clearly pronounce the word "WORD" then they're lying. If they do say "WORD" then they're telling the truth. OR, if one decides to lie with the word "WORD" then one of two things could happen:

1) you will instantly turn into cottage cheese.

2) kaptain karma will find you at some point during your sinful existence on planet earth.

The dissection of the word "WORD" could go on for days, but I will spare all readers of rambling on forever. I do, however, suggest you give it a trial run with your close circle of friends.
