BASS, BACKING VOCALS, ...
AKA: Johnny Solid, Floyd Pepper
Originally from the Albany, New York area, John came to beautiful Vermont to pursue his education at the University of Vermont. Before and after graduating with a degree in music, John immersed himself in the local music scene as well as recordings by Van Morrison, Eric Dolphy, James Brown, Charles Mingus, Eric Clapton, Fela Kuti, and Robert Johnson to name just a few. John developed a solid reputation as a go-to session musician in the area and has played with numerous musical outfits across genres. John also likes his whiskey very much. He plays a bass with four strings on it and produces a style deeply rooted in the soul sound (Stax, Motown, Muscle Shoals, etc) of the 60s and 70s.
John welcomes this new adventure in music, and has jumped into the land of Blues and Lasers with both feet. When not providing a cushion for B&L on the road, John resides in Burlington, VT, where he enjoys listening to records while painting and drinking coffee.
